Why a Tape Echo? If you ask that then you have never played a healthy Echoplex! No delay (rackmount or pedal, analog or digital) can replicate the natural, warm, and shimmery tones of an old Echoplex. Unless you've experienced it you don't know what you're missing. Yeah, but they're noisy and unreliable! Yes, they certainly WERE....but the Fulltone TubeTapeEcho (TTE) is dead-quiet, and we've completely re-vamped both the electronics, the tape transport path, and even the tape cartridge itself to the point of near-overkill. The Fulltone TTE produces less noise than most delay pedals. How much delay time? From a quick slapback to over 1 second. There is a top panel-mounted dual speed toggle switch to choose between: Hi-Speed and Lo-Speed operation. Hi-Speed gets you lots of Highs, less Bass, and a True Repeat without the Pitch variation of the old Echoplex. Lo-Speed is waaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrm, lots of Bass, less highs, and a slight "warble" that imparts a natural chorus effect made popular by people like Eric Johnson.
Why tubes? Because they sound so good.....the enhancement to your basic tone is something you will not want to play without once you feel it, and you'll never again have to worry about signal loss due to long cables and too many pedals on your pedalboard.

Discrete F.E.T Hi-Gain Distortion and Overdrive Booster IN ONE BOX. You could think of them as 2 separate pedals..or think of them as stages to be linked together for endless combinations. Hi-Gain side has Volume, Distortion knobs, Bass, Mid, and Highs minipots. Booster Side has Volume, Overdrive knobs, Bass and Highs minipots. (these new hi-Q sealed minipots don't break BTW) Hard clipped distortion (the way most pedals achieve distortion) at one point in a circuit can be cool, but stage after stage of FET (GT-500) is very real, very amplike, has ridiculous amounts of sustain even at low volume, does the great chunky low string rhythm stuff and cleans up incredibly well when you turn down the guitar's volume.

The Flanging is amazing! Very musical and very reminiscent of "House Burning Down" and "High Landrons" without a bunch of noise... in ((STEREO)) too! The Chorus is wide ranging, getting everything from thick pitch-bent vibratoed vintage CE-1 style sounds to very transparent splits, but without the sterility of the popular hi-end choruses. There's more headroom so that there isn't any input overload distortion if you use heavy strings (like me) or play Bass. This thing does Great Leslie simulations as well, in both stereo and mono operation. 
The "Clyde" was born from taking the best of the best of Mike Fuller's more than 25 pc. vintage Vox wah collection and analyzing every aspect... going so far as to sacrifice a few of the vintage inductors to get it right. The problem with the old (and other company's new) inductors is that they're generic industrial grade cheapos that vary as much as 30% in tolerance, some of my mediocre Vox's measured in at @360 mh when they are supposed to be 500mh.
